What are your views on giving a child an ultra-popular name?

I have been considering the same thing. My husband and I are trying to pick out a name for our baby girl due in a few months and can't decide. We are picking between a name no one uses(ilana), a common name (Isabel) and an extremely common and popular name (isabella). It's a really hard decision. I think we are ruling out Isabella based on the fact she will have several other isabellas in her class. Our last name is short but complicated so we want an easy to pronounce and spell first name. I think we are leaning towards Isabel. It is so hard! Hope this helps!
