Art block and lack of creativity advice?

I'm at an artisitic stand still. I can't think of anything remotely creative to draw and when I do make something, It's disgustingly ugly. :c I want to paint again, but nothing is coming out right. Also, I'm having problems with originality. I can't find anything remotely interesting to paint that's not fan based. Is that okay? I'm 17 in my Junior year and need to make a portfolio sooner or later, but Nothing will get done until I get out of this. Please help with advice.
