Jesus or Muhammad who is more influential?

As an atheist, I feel Muhammad was more influential because Islam spread faster and farther than Christianity, there are more Muslims today than Christians, and the Muslims in the Middle ages made great advancements in all sorts of scientific fields, while Christians (Europe) were living in the dark ages where most of their time was spent dying.
